Welcome, I’m Nita Devshi, the founder of Peacock Interior Design.
My love for interior design was sparked during my early years, watching home makeover shows with my dad and being fascinated by how beautiful rooms were created.
The real adventure kicked off when I purchased my first home. Renovating it challenged not just my decor skills but also pushed the boundaries of DIY, testing my abilities beyond aesthetics. Balancing a full-time job while overseeing a 5-month renovation was a juggling act - managing everything from space planning and hiring trades to sourcing within budget. My agility, practical focus, meticulous attention to detail, and project management expertise were pivotal in transforming the bricks and mortar into a warm and inviting home, fuelling my passion for interiors even further.
As my home continues to evolve into a dynamic canvas, my dedication to interior design only strengthens.
Driven by this passion, I delved deeper into the magic of interior design, completing an accredited professional interior design qualification and maintaining continuous professional development through The Interior Designers Hub. This enriching journey led to the creation of Peacock Interior Design Ltd, where I merge my love for crafting contemporary spaces with over 20 years in business transformation and change.
The inspiration behind 'Peacock’ Interior Design is twofold. The peacock, with its elegant and timeless beauty, rich colours, textures, layers, shapes, and patterns, reflects the elements we cherish in interior design. Additionally, as the national bird of India with significant cultural symbolism in Hinduism, the name resonates deeply with my heritage.

Our Interior Design Process
Designing a space that truly reflects your personality and lifestyle is our passion at Peacock Interior Design. We believe in getting to know you on a deeper level to create a space that brings you joy every time you walk through the door.
Our 4-stage design process is designed to make the journey enjoyable and stress-free, resulting in beautiful and functional spaces that truly reflect your unique style.

What are you really thinking for your space and what do you need?
We start by understanding your dreams, style, lifestyle, budget, and desired timeframe. Through questionnaires and / or conversations, we narrow down precisely how you’d like your space to look, feel and function.
We provide a brief consultation report, proposed scope of work and contract to bring your project to life.

We’ve heard what you’ve said and now we show you what could be.
After carefully listening to your hopes and dreams, we develop a mood board that captures the desired vibe for your space using images and a colour scheme.
We then design the space using the mood board as an anchor and start sourcing (shopping without actually purchasing).
We turn all your preferences into a digital design presentation which may include finishes, fixtures and fittings, plus any 2D or 3D visuals to help you visualise.

Happy with the design, now let's start bringing it to life!
We manage the purchasing for you or provide you with a shopping list to purchase items directly.
If we manage the procurement, we handle all the administrative tasks, including communication with suppliers, arranging and tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues that may arise (yes they do happen occasionally), taking this time-consuming activity off your plate.
